Teen Activity Proposal
Due December 1, 2023
Come play an active role in providing an exciting overnight, non-sleeping event for 4th - 6th grade Girl Scout sisters! The key to the success of Owl Prowl is the creation of activity booths by Teen Girl Scout troops.
Our theme this year is Under The Sea. To engage girls more effectively, we encourage troops to incorporate at least one step of a Junior and/or Cadette badge in their booth activity. There are lots of exciting new badges that have steps that are engaging and fun. We could "Be a Sister to Every Girl Scout" by not only making Owl Prowl a fun event, but one with a dual purpose - teaching girls independence and learning new things. While leading a badge step can provide Teens another measure of leadership, it is not required. teen troops may still lead a game or craft activity that does not incorporate a badge. Please note there is no food, liquid or glitter allowed. Paint, glue & glue guns are allowed, but you must provide a drop cloth or tarp to protect the gym floor.
The Owl Prowl Committee will review all submissions and notify you of the approval or denial - denial will be determined by duplicate ideas and first come first served. Please be creative when choosing your activity and try to incorporate this year's theme. Be aware that we do not want duplicate booths at this event. Activities will be approved on a first come, first approved basis. Please make sure whomever is turning this form in is knowledgeable in the activity proposed and will train your Teen troop accordingly.
KEEP IN MIND:
We have positions available for Teens if they choose not to host a booth. Examples are: kitchen, pool, trading post, or request to assist another troop with their booth.
